The production and consumption of textile products follows a largely linear (take, make, use, discard) economic model. The European Union generates 12.6 million tonnes of textile waste per year. Clothing and footwear alone accounts for 5.2 million tonnes of waste, equivalent to 12 kg of waste per person every year. Clothing accounts for between 2 % and 10 % of the environmental impact of European consumption. This catalogue will show how circularity can maximise value with a better environement and social impact.
